SUMMER HEALTH & FFL INFO:
Summer Session is typically 4 weeks in length on specific dates, there are no extensions or exceptions.
Please note: All students (incoming 9th - 12th graders) are eligible to register but spaces are given to students in order of seniority so we cannot guarantee your spot. Students are allowed only ONE course.
The format of the class is completely asynchronous and it is a large time commitment during the 4 weeks of the course. Please read the details below and talk with your families and school counselor about your decision.
Fitness for Life: students are required to complete specific workouts and track them in a journal; due to the summer session being shorter, the expectations are that students are dedicating 2 hours/day 5 days/week for 4 weeks (75 minute activity/workout, 45 minute journal).
Health: students are required to complete asynchronous assignments with a commitment of 2 hours/day 5 days/week.
The drop deadline is one week into the course. Students must email their teacher should they choose to drop on their own. If students have not logged into the course by the second Monday of the course, they will be automatically dropped.
If you have questions about the course content or if you are a good fit for the summer fitness or health classes, please contact the teacher Tamara.Cowan@mpls.k12.mn.us
