Supplemental enrollment means a student enrolls in online learning classes in addition to their local school classes. Enrollment in supplemental online learning courses as part of a student’s full-time schedule during the school year is limited to a maximum of half of a student’s full schedule of courses per term.
MPS district students may enroll for one supplemental class per quarter in addition to their full-time schedule. There is a fee for Non-MPS students wishing to enroll in supplemental classes beyond their tradition school day schedule ($195 per quarter credit).
Here's how to get started:
Comprehensive (full-time) enrollment in Online Learning (Non-Resident and Resident District)
Comprehensive enrollment means a student enrolls exclusively in the online learning program as a full-time student. Enrolling in our comprehensive online learning program requires a change of school or district if you are not a Minneapolis district student.
If you are not already a Minneapolis Public Schools student, and you wish to enroll online full time:
MPS Online Learning is a fixed enrollment program. Courses are offered to students with specific start and end dates. Students can register and enroll in our program during designated enrollment dates for each quarter. We have found that students taking online courses are most successful when given specific start and end dates.
